This is My depiction of a Marlin. I do shows in Ocean City for the past 15 years (Since Hurricane Katrina)
I was doing an art series called Home and Flow. Examining who we are and how we process the world.
Marlins are connected to the Chesapeake Estuary (Biggest Estuary in the world) A lot of my work is thinking about estuaries.
Estuaries are fresh water mixing with salt water to form a brackish environment of which most of the world lives and thrives.
The purple piece underneath the Marlin is called Neutral ground is higher ground. Neutral Ground is a sort of estuary where people in New Orleans come together.
So, I thought I would connect things that we each define as part of Home and the also allow up to Flow.
